The rules and procedures are archaic Justice is the last thing dispensed here. It is a closed system that only the elite can enter. People forced to endure its activity have to pay a minimum of $400 an hour to these elite. Defending oneself is not viable and there is 3 months between hearing days. I lost a year of my life and tens of thousands of dollars in costs. Magistrate was angry with defence for the hearing taking so long. In fact the prosecution took all but one hour of the 2 day hearing. The only significant evidence used from the prosecution was in their summing up and this could not be replied to. In the words of my housemate, 'It sucks'.
