One of my favourite places to take my kids out to eat as well as date nights.
We will not be back again as dining at The Phoenix Hotel in Gympie was a very ordaniary experience. I was disappointed in the food. Ordered a chicken breast with veggies, no chips or mash. They were not able to order this on the computer so put in in as chicken, bacon and avocado with no bacon and avocado. I stated I didn't want marinated chicken, I would like a plain chicken breast. My meal arrived with the chicken and broccoli smothered in a hollandaise sauce. I scrapped as much sauce as possible off the chicken and didn't eat the broccoli. The sauce that was left on the chicken was not nice and tasted very bitter. We were a table of 12 and everyone was disappointed in the meals. To assist them with their future meal preparation, we attempted to give positive feedback on why we were not happy with our meals and were given one excuse after another.
Food is well worth the money, but not pricey at all and usually more than we can eat. Friendly staff and great all round service. Great for family functions or just a nice lunch.
A wonderful night out. Great atmosphere, very quick to bring out meals. Suitable for the whole family although no play area for kids but still a really good kids menu. Very friendly staff.
Decent selection of beers on tap at a reasonable price. Had the Guinness pie which was quite good and fairly generous in size, sides were a little lackluster but perhaps should have ordered the chips option. Good for a low key catch up
